The Outdoor events will run from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm and is free to the public. Morning volunteers should arrive at 8:00 am for a safety briefing. During this time, we will go over important protocols and answer any questions you may have about your position. If you are volunteering in the afternoon, please arrive at 10:30 am for the safety briefing that will be given prior to the shift change.
INL volunteers will be specifically tasked with managing and directing traffic. Please be prepared to provide clear directions and assist drivers as needed.
All other volunteers may additionally be tasked with lifting and sorting e-waste. Please follow all safety guidelines when lifting heavy items and sorting materials. We will provide gloves and safety vest to those who need it to ensure your safety.

For all other volunteers, please contact Daniel Forbush at daniel.forbush@ecyclersofidaho.com with any questions or concerns you may have. They are available to assist you with any inquiries regarding your role or logistics related to the event.
· Always wear your assigned safety gear, including gloves, safety vests, and closed-toe shoes.
· Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed. Water stations will be available on-site.
· Be aware of your surroundings and watch for moving vehicles and other potential hazards.
· Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the event coordinators.
· Wear high-visibility vests at all times to ensure you are easily seen by drivers.
· Use clear and deliberate hand signals to direct traffic.
· Stand in designated areas to avoid being in the path of moving vehicles.
· Use proper lifting techniques: bend at the knees and use your legs to lift.
· Avoid lifting items that are too heavy for you. Seek assistance from others if needed.
· Use carts or dollies for transporting heavy or bulky items whenever possible.
· Always wear gloves to protect your hands from sharp edges or hazardous materials.
· Be cautious of broken or damaged electronics, as they may have sharp edges or exposed wires.
· Place sorted items in the designated collection bins or areas.
· Familiarize yourself with the location of first aid stations and fire extinguishers.
· In case of an emergency, remain calm and follow the instructions of the event coordinators.
· If you witness or are involved in an accident, report it immediately to a coordinator and seek medical attention if necessary.
All volunteers are required to take the following training before working an event.
